Overview
The Application Development Senior Lead supports the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC) Academic Network Labor Contract to administer, maintain, secure, and accredit the DLIFLC Academic Network which provides the IT environment for DLIFLC teaching and instruction for all students, staff, faculty, and guests in a learning environment at the unclassified level. Responsibilities
Serve as the lead of the DevOps Application Development/Sustainment Center of Operations, providing leadership of all Application Development/Sustainment within DLIFLC. Ensure timely delivery and adherence to DevOps practices, Agile methodology, SDLC, and Release Management. Plan, install, maintain during or after-hours, troubleshoot, and manage all AppDev servers and applications. Web Content and MDC Operations and Maintenance: perform daily operations and maintenance of the web and portals and subordinate pages and associated data. SharePoint User Instruction: develop SharePoint instructional products based on the DLIFLC Portal operational environment and capabilities. Lead project teams and coordinate cross-functional efforts as needed. Qualifications
BA/BS from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 5+ years of experience, or substitute with AA/AS with 7+ years of experience. One of the following IAT Level II Certifications (CySA+, Security+, CND, or SSCP) and CE/OS Certification. Specialized experience includes 7 years of progressive experience as a .NET Application Developer. Experience leading teams. Experience with DevOps methodologies, GitLab, and Agile methodologies. Relevant experience with Amazon, Microsoft, and Google cloud services. Required technical skills include .NET, JAVA, SQL, MySQL, VDX, IIS, HTML5, Linux, Tomcat, Apache, SharePoint, iOS development/sustainment, PHP, WordPress. Extensive experience in both application development/sustainment and operational support for large, highly scalable applications. Salary and Benefits
Salary Range: $120,000 - $155,000. Overtime, shift differential, and/or discretionary bonuses may apply depending on the position, candidate experience, and market conditions.
