Cloud Engineering Lead – Azure
for a contract with a client in
Chicago, IL (Remote) . This role involves designing scalable cloud solutions, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and automating infrastructure using tools like Terraform and Azure DevOps. Rate Range:
$50/hour to 53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Cloud Engineering Lead – Azure job responsibilities include:
Design and implement scalable cloud architectures using Azure services, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery. Lead DevOps initiatives, including CI/CD pipeline setup, infrastructure automation with Terraform/ARM, and deployment optimization. Provision and manage Azure IaaS and PaaS resources, such as virtual machines, databases, storage, and networking components. Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and applications, using tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and App Insights. Provide technical leadership and mentorship, guiding team members and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud solutions. Ensure security and compliance by applying best practices in identity management, access control, and cloud governance. Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum 8–10 years of experience in cloud engineering, with at least 5 years in Azure and DevOps practices. Proven expertise in designing and deploying scalable Azure cloud solutions using IaaS, PaaS, and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and ARM templates. Strong leadership experience with the ability to guide teams, implement CI/CD pipelines, and troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues in hybrid-cloud environments.
