Overview

ATA Services, Inc. is looking for a full-time, dedicated Mail Clerk. Duration: 1 year. Location: 3190 S. Vaughn Way Aurora, CO 80014. Non-exempt Hourly Rate: $19. This position provides support to the entire agency through processing the incoming mail and distributing it to the appropriate individuals. It also tracks and processes supplies ordered by the Division and oversees the sorter stuffer machine to ensure claimant letters are sent out within Social Security Administration guidelines. Responsibilities Mailroom duties: pick up incoming mail from the facility floors, distribute mail, process outgoing mail (metering as needed), and deliver outgoing mail to the first-floor secure room for USPS pickup. Perform general clerical duties as needed (scanning, word processing, emails/phone calls, purging files, filing, data entry, etc.). Ensure adequate postage and manage orders for bulk mailing and letter processing. Document and track paper case files containing claimant PII information. Determine the appropriate distribution of incoming mail and processing of outgoing mail (including postage calculations). Maintain mail integrity by ensuring mail is not tampered with until it reaches the appropriate person. Supplies Receive supplies ordered by the agency and track them using the DDS Supplies Data Base. Maintain federal forms, brochures, and envelopes. Monitor supplies and place orders as needed. Deliver small supply items during mail runs and distribute copy paper to workrooms; deliver large items on a weekly schedule. Surplus and Meeting Room Setup Maintain copiers, fax machines, and the mail machine: clear jams, diagnose malfunctions, schedule repairs as needed, and change ink cartridges. Assemble and move office furniture and computer equipment; set up and take down for meetings or trainings. Coordinate surplus processes: collect shredder bins for on-site shredding; identify office furniture/equipment no longer needed; maintain surplus listings and forms; coordinate with the Department of Corrections (DOC) as needed to collect surplus; maintain related records. Diagnose jams and malfunctions of office machinery and determine best action to clear them; identify surplus equipment and determine disposition actions.
