Event Producer, Game Presentation and In Game Production
The Event Producer, Game Presentation and In Game Production is a full-time exempt position with Kilowatt Events, Inc. The main objectives of this role are to lead and oversee major events and projects for clients with scopes that focus on game presentation, entertainment, show call, and event production. This role is centered around strong written and oral communication, a knowledge of production, and creating game presentation strategies for major sporting events. The ideal candidate must be able to plan and execute entertainment plans for events, communicate with different types of stakeholders, showcase strong organizational and multitasking skills, have a keen attention to detail, and a passion for their profession and team. This position reports to the Director of Business Development and is responsible for taking the lead on creating exceptional experiences for fans and clients. Location and Benefits: The selected candidate will work remotely (adhering to our remotes work policy) with working sessions in the San Diego office (minimum of 8 days in office per year) and project-related travel required. The programs you help create will be seen by tens of thousands to millions of fans bth in-person and through a screen. Essential Functions: Pre-planning and Post-event Reconcilation: Oversee the full scope of event production for corporate, sporting and other televised events Lead the development of production timelines and run-of-shows Communicate with clients, venues, and suppliers in a timely, positive, and efficient manner Work with suppliers to create estimates and orders Reconcile invoices, budgets, and event metrics post-event Create post-event reports for clients and track recommendations for improving future events Budget Management: Create and manage event budgets and ensure alignment with projected costs Work with accounting to reconcile vendor invoices as necessary Game Presentation and Live Event Production: Create strategies and design shows that increase fan engagement, highlight sponsor brands and support marketing efforts of sports teams and other clients Build Run-of-Shows for the LEP plans Work with designers to create visual content for led screens and other media Design opening, half-time, and closing shows Create operational plans to execute shows and events Negotiate, hire and manage entertainment acts Work with Workforce Coordinator to staff Game Presentation and LEP projects Create a reahearsal plan for shows that ensures operational success supports the needs and restrictions of the venue Source props and assets to support show development Client and Stakeholder Relationship Management: Develop and maintain relationships with clients, sponsors, vendors, partners, and venues to align on goals and expectations Act as the primary liaison to resolve conflicts, anticipate stakeholder needs, and ensure client satisfaction Onsite Program Execution: Execute onsite programs successfully, meeting all deadlines and solving problems as they arise Support and lead onsite teams of staff and vendors supporting project deadlines and team morale Professional Development: Continuously work on professional development to stay current on trends, research, technology, and networking opportunities relevant to events and self-development Contribute to creative ideation and event design by collaborating on concepts for opening ceremonies, experiential activations, or fan experiences Qualifications: 4+ years working in live event production for major sports events 2+ years experience with show calling, stage management and game presentation execution Ability to travel frequently and for extended durations (up to 2-3 weeks at a time) Strong communication and organizational skills The ability to multitask and support many projects at the same time Exceptional project management skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. 3+ Professional references required Who We Are: Kilowatt Events is a woman owned, live event production business that specializes in building and operating temporary event venues, designing custom brand activations, and creating turnkey programs for the fan experience. The pay scale provided is the range that Kilowatt Events reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role.
