Salary Range: $28.00/hour - $31.00/hour Position Summary: Children's Aid runs a camp in Chappaqua, NY that has an adventure team building program for adults and youth. The program uses activities, communication exercises, initiatives, low ropes activities and high ropes challenges. The Adventure Facilitator works with a team of facilitators to run large group activities, works individually with a group of 10-15 individuals, leads activities, provides spotting and guidance on low ropes, belays high ropes, and leads debriefing sessions with participants. This is a per diem position. Staff in this position are scheduled when group book programming at Wagon Road. The bookings are primarily September through November and March through June annually. Programs typically run from 9am to 3:30pm, but some programs run later until 6 pm. Program typically take place during the week Mondays through Fridays, but occasionally there can be a weekend program. Essential Duties: Attend training and skill verification sessions. Review program plan prior to the start of program. Set up activity props, supplies, and set up ropes course elements before programming and clean up and store materials at the end of the program. Assist in distributing snacks and meals to the participants. Follow all the safety procedures as outlined in the Wagon Road Local Operating Procedures. Fulfill job activities not listed here important to the success of the camp. Minimum Qualifications: Good communication skills Previous experience in leading activities.
