Our client is a vertically integrated commercial real estate investor and developer headquartered in Los Angeles. The firm manages more than $2Bn in AuM with an investment strategy that spans across opportunistic strategies within most major asset class groups with an expressed emphasis on multifamily within the broader western United States. Position

The Senior Associate or Vice President of Acquisitions is a newly created position within the firms multifamily vertical, playing an important role in leading the sourcing of new investment opportunities, deal due diligence, and transaction execution in support of a growing portfolio of residential assets across TX, CA, and the Mountain West. Multifamily investment will be the primary strategy deployed from the firms Core+ strategy while also simultaneously developing and executing a multifamily preferred equity initiative. Responsibilities

Source and evaluate prospective multifamily acquisition opportunities in accordance with the firms investment criteria in target markets (CO, TX, CA, AZ, UT) and recommend for addition to the weekly investment pipeline report. Prepare preliminary underwriting on prospective acquisitions, which includes creating financial models and prospective business plans. Prepare and present investment committee memorandums, investor presentations, and due diligence summaries. Oversee the acquisition process, including managing due diligence, performing site visits and market tours with investor partners, ordering and reviewing third-party reports, and facilitating the closing. Work with legal counsel to negotiate purchase and sale agreements, entity formation and partnership agreements, and other related legal documentation. Coordinate with legal counsel to prepare offering materials. Work with the firms investor partners to source acquisition loans and participate in the negotiation of term sheets and loan documents. Interact with investor partners on an as-needed basis regarding market, property, and investment updates. Assist in the disposition of the assets. Develop and maintain relationships with market participants. Experience & Skills

5+ years of experience in commercial real estate with emphasis on multifamily acquisitions. A high degree of proficiency in all aspects of underwriting, market research, and financial analysis Established record of sourcing and closing multifamily transactions Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or real estate Strong financial modeling capabilities (cash flows, valuations, IRR, waterfalls) Solid understanding of investment underwriting, property management, legal documents, transactions, asset sales, contract negotiations, and JV partnerships Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Argus; strong general computer skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Seniority level
