Overview

Category Manager Everyday IC (Immediate Consumption) for Albertsons, at Mars Wrigley. This role is a strategic partner to Albertsons, responsible for providing fact-based, insight-led category solutions to drive growth for the category, customer, and company within the Checkstand business. The category thought leader translates consumer and data trends into value-creating solutions regarding category assortment, merchandising, shelving, pricing and promotion. Primary focus is leading category initiatives at the HQ level with additional ad hoc divisional level support. Close collaboration with the broader Albertsons Sales, Category and Internal MW teams is critical to success. What are we looking for?

5+ years Category Management experience preferred Analytical experience from situation assessment through solutions with tangible results leveraging syndicated data resources (e.g., EYC Shopper 360; IRI or AC Nielsen; Scan, Panel, Spectra, etc.) Highly proficient in MS Office and other technical applications (JDA, Excel, PowerPoint) Strategic focus and ability to creatively solve complex problems Advanced interpersonal skills Willingness to travel (up to 20% of time) Preferred Qualifications

Albertsons experience preferred Experience managing and visualizing large data sets using tools such as Alteryx, Data Lake, MS Power BI, Tableau, Teradata, etc. Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including PowerPoint storytelling to influence customer decisions Forward-thinking, creative and strategic mindset Knowledge of emerging retail strategy and technology (Omni-channel) Key responsibilities

Create and plan category leadership solutions delivering profitable sales growth for the Albertsons Checkstand business Develop knowledge and skills to provide quality category support: assortment, merchandising, shelving, pricing and promotions, planogram analysis, competitive market analysis, project leadership and support, test & learn analytics, data management, and reporting/presentation Build positive cross-functional relationships with key customer and internal stakeholders to drive Albertsons Checkstand category Partner with Mars Wrigley Category Strategy team to activate internal category initiatives and ensure follow-through Support development of 1-3 year front-end strategic category plans for Albertsons, prioritizing projects by viability and incremental value Influence Annual Account Business Planning by providing actionable insights and solutions Evaluate and monitor category leadership solutions; turn analysis into action and continually improve effectiveness Be the subject matter expert on Albertsons Checkstand business for HQ and divisional support Leverage diverse data sources, market research, tools, and technology to bring new shopper ideas to customer and company Demonstrate advanced analytical, project management and communication skills; think strategically What can you expect from Mars?

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is USD 85,875.00 – 118,083.00, with total compensation potentially including variable pay and other benefits as per applicable policies. Eligible employees are enrolled in the 401(k) plan and may receive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance for themselves and eligible dependents, with paid time off including vacation, sick time, and holidays.
