Overview
As a strategic partner to Albertsons, the Category Manager Everyday IC (Immediate Consumption) is responsible for providing fact-based, insight-led, and actionable category solutions to drive growth for the category, customer, and company for the Albertsons Checkstand business. The category thought leader translates consumer and data trends into value-creating business solutions regarding category assortment, merchandising, shelving, pricing and promotion. Primary focus is leading category initiatives at the HQ level with additional ad hoc divisional level support. Close collaboration with the broader Albertsons Sales, Category and Internal MW teams is critical to the role. What are we looking for?
5+ years Category Management experience preferred Analytical experience from situation assessment through solutions with tangible results leveraging syndicated data resources (EYC Shopper 360; IRI or AC Nielsen; Scan, Panel, Spectra, etc.) Highly proficient in MS Office and other technical applications (JDA, Excel, PowerPoint) Strategic focus and ability to creatively solve complex problems Advanced interpersonal skills Willingness to travel (up to 20% of time) Preferred Qualifications
Albertsons experience preferred Experience managing and visualizing large data sets using tools (Alteryx, Data Lake, MS Power BI, Tableau, Teradata, etc.) Advanced Microsoft Office skills including storytelling within PowerPoint to drive customer decision making Forward-looking, creative and strategic thinking ability Knowledge of emerging retail strategy and technology (Omni-channel) What will be your key responsibilities?
Serve as the primary Mars Wrigley Category Contact for Albertsons Everyday Checkstand Candy Create and plan category leadership solutions to deliver profitable sales growth for the Albertsons Checkstand business Provide quality category support including: assortment, merchandising, shelving, pricing and promotional performance & recommendations, planogram analysis, competitive market analysis, project leadership & support, test & learn analytics, data management, and reporting/presentation building Develop cross-functional relationships with customer and internal stakeholders to build trust and credibility for the Albertsons Checkstand category Partner with the Mars Wrigley Category Strategy team to activate internal initiatives, including Perfect Store execution and follow-through Use category knowledge to support 1-3 year front-end strategic category plans and prioritize projects based on value Influence Annual Account Business Planning by providing actionable insights to support category leadership objectives Monitor and evaluate category leadership solutions; turn analyses into actionable recommendations and continuously improve effectiveness Be the subject matter expert on the Albertsons Checkstand business, supporting HQ and divisional needs Leverage data sources, market research, tools, and technology to bring new shopper ideas to customers and the company Demonstrate advanced analytical, project management, and written/oral communication skills; think strategically What can you expect from Mars?

The base pay range at commencement is USD 85,875.00 - USD 118,083.00, with total compensation potentially including variable pay and additional benefits. Eligible employees are enrolled in a 401(k) plan and Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Paid parental leave and paid time off are also available as per company policies.
