Overview

Executive Director of the Academy of Inclusive Learning and Social Growth at Kennesaw State University in the Wellstar College of Health and Human Services (WCHHS). This is a full-time, twelve-month, tenure-track faculty position as an Associate Professor or Full Professor and Executive Director, with a preferred start date of January 2026. Rank is commensurate with experience. The position will be based in Georgia. Responsibilities

Direct activities of the Academy for Inclusive Learning and Social Growth (AILSG) and provide curriculum oversight Promote the vision and mission of the University, College, and the AILSG Direct strategic planning, personnel management, budget management, community relations, and fund development for the AILSG Oversee assessments and data reporting for accreditation, grants, and ad hoc requests Supervise designated staff and others who work with the AILSG Plan, develop, and approve schedules, priorities, and standards to achieve AILSG goals Direct educational programs within the AILSG and oversee the curriculum Coordinate educational experiences with academic programs in the WCHHS and other KSU colleges Advise and support the Academy Advisory Board, including policy decisions, fundraising, and expanding visibility Represent the AILSG to internal and external communities and collaborate with community agencies and partners Develop, review, and revise AILSG policies and procedures Mentor students in the AILSG Teach in the academic home department as assigned Enhance the research environment and grow external funding

Required Qualifications

Terminal degree or foreign equivalent in Social Work, Human Services, Nursing, Integrated Health Science, Public Health, Education, Psychology, Counseling, Critical Disability Studies, or related field Administrative leadership experience with budgets, hiring, retention, evaluations, professional development Demonstrated engagement with external partners for mission-aligned fund development Dynamic, visionary, innovative leadership; effective problem solving; empathetic advocacy Strong interpersonal skills for communication, consultation, and collaboration Experience in fund development (research and donor-based) At least 5 years of experience working with individuals with diverse intellectual and developmental abilities Knowledge of legislation and policies related to people with different abilities

Preferred Qualifications

Established community relationships relevant to the AILSG Ability to work with campus and community stakeholders, including donors Experience with fundraising, development, and non-profit engagement Experience with curriculum development and program outcomes evaluation 10+ years of experience with individuals with diverse intellectual and developmental abilities
