Mountain View Headache & Spine Institute (MVHSI) is a multi-site pain clinic committed to exceptional patient outcomes and operational excellence. We’re moving from a start-up environment to a disciplined growth stage and need an experienced operator to drive that transformation. Role Summary

The General Manager will lead strategic initiatives—including the setup and implementation of new service lines and business units—while ensuring the clinic’s daily operations run at peak efficiency. This role is ideal for a seasoned healthcare operations leader with strong business acumen and the ability to drive growth and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities

Lead strategic initiatives and the setup/implementation of new service lines and business units to expand the clinic’s services and market presence. Run daily operations, including schedules, workflows, and SOPs to maintain smooth clinic performance. Manage budgets, billing, and payer contracts to ensure the practice’s financial health. Review vendor contracts and negotiate favorable rates. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and billing regulations. Lead managers and administrative teams while supporting staff development and accountability. Optimize EMR/PM systems, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and support sustainable practice growth. Own responsibility for paying bills and transferring funds. Key Metrics for Success

Clean-claim rate and first-pass acceptance trending up; denials and days in A/R trending down Same-day charge entry = 100% Monthly KPI pack delivered by the 3rd business day Overtime ≤ 2% of total hours EBITDA margin improving 30/60/90-Day Milestones

30 days:

Daily ops/KPI dashboard live; schedules stabilized; vendor map completed; weekly leadership cadence in place. 90 days:

Improved patient access and no-show outcomes; RCM KPIs trending positive; budget on track; monthly KPI pack normalized. Qualifications

Technical Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or related field (Master’s preferred). Minimum 7+ years of progressive leadership in medical practice or healthcare operations. Strong understanding of medical billing processes and payer contracting. Familiarity with Arizona employment law. eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience preferred. Soft Skills Strong business acumen and medical practice operations background. Solid understanding of general business financials and their impact on strategic decision-making. Proven leadership and effective communication skills to work with providers and staff of varying sophistication and personalities. Ability to build trust and motivate teams in a fast-growing, multi-location environment. Seniority level
