Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled
Workday Security Solutions Architect
to lead the design, implementation, and governance of Workday security frameworks across our enterprise. This role will be responsible for aligning security architecture with business objectives while ensuring compliance, scalability, and best-in-class security practices across Workday HCM, Financials, and related modules. Location: Columbus, OH. Responsibilities
Lead the design and execution of Workday security models, including domain security, business process security, role-based access controls (RBAC), and segregation of duties (SoD). Define and maintain enterprise-wide Workday security policies, standards, and frameworks. Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, and Compliance stakeholders to assess access requirements and implement appropriate security roles and permissions. Conduct Workday security audits and provide mitigation plans for potential risks and compliance gaps (e.g., SOX, GDPR). Work closely with Workday functional teams to support module implementations, enhancements, and integrations with a focus on secure architecture. Serve as subject matter expert on Workday security capabilities and best practices. Manage security change requests, perform impact analysis, and implement configuration changes through the Workday tenant. Mentor and guide junior Workday security analysts and ensure knowledge transfer and documentation of security configurations. Stay updated with Workday releases, roadmap, and security-related feature enhancements. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field. 5+ years of experience in Workday security architecture and administration. Deep understanding of Workday security constructs (domain security policies, business process security, user-based and role-based security groups). Proven experience in Workday HCM and at least one of the following: Financials, Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, or Recruiting. Experience with SoD frameworks, access audits, and compliance-driven environments (e.g., SOX, GDPR, HIPAA). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Seniority level
