Overview Ready to lead payroll operations for a dynamic, high-growth SaaS technology firm? Join our client’s team as a Senior Payroll Manager in a hybrid role (3 days/week onsite in a major East Coast city). Reporting to the VP of Finance, you’ll oversee worldwide payroll operations, manage stock compensation programs, and drive process enhancements in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Compensation and Location Base pay range : $130,000.00/yr - $165,000.00/yr

Salary : $130,000–$165,000 (DOE) + bonus + stock options and comprehensive benefits.

Location : Hybrid role based in a major East Coast city (local candidates only, 3 days/week onsite).

Note : This is a full-time position; contractors not considered. The company is unable to sponsor candidates at this time.

What You’ll Do

Oversee worldwide payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with multi-jurisdictional regulations.

Collaborate with global payroll vendors to streamline international payroll processes.

Administer equity compensation programs, including RSUs, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

Maintain and audit payroll data in HRIS systems to ensure precision and alignment with corporate standards.

Ensure adherence to federal, state, and international payroll and tax regulations.

Lead payroll audits, reconciling payroll registers to the general ledger and preparing leadership summaries.

Develop and refine payroll policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.

Partner with HR, Legal, and Finance teams to manage stock compensation records and address inquiries.

Drive automation and system integrations to support scalability and operational excellence.

Provide actionable insights on payroll and equity compensation to inform strategic decisions.

What We’re Looking For

Experience: 7+ years managing domestic and international payrolls; expertise in stock compensation administration required.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Certifications: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in HRIS and payroll platforms; advanced Excel skills.

Knowledge: Strong understanding of multi-jurisdictional payroll regulations and equity tax compliance.

Skills: Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills to engage cross-functional teams.

Mindset: Detail-oriented, proactive, and excels in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

Location: Local to a major East Coast city for hybrid work (3 days/week onsite).
