Full-time NP - Gyn Oncology - Vassar Brothers Medical Center
Vassar Brothers Medical Center, located in Poughkeepsie, NY, is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to coordinate, oversee and provide advanced nursing care to gynecologic oncology patients. This position works collaboratively with gynecologic, medical, and radiation oncologists, gynecologic residents, supportive care team and nursing staff. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for carrying out the plan of care for his/her patient panel, contributing to the actualization of the philosophy and objectives of the Oncology Division, and participating in performance improvement and research activities. At least one year of clinical experience relative to surgical oncology or other relevant experience is preferred. An Oncology Nursing Certificate is desirable. Vassar Brothers Medical Center provides tertiary oncology services and is accredited by The American College of Surgeons as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Program. The hospital has a new 696,000 square-foot, seven-level inpatient pavilion with 264 private medical/surgical patient rooms and 30 critical care rooms. Located on the banks of the scenic Hudson River, Vassar Brothers Medical Center is a 350-bed tertiary care hospital that provides leading acute and critical emergency care in the region.
