Job Summary
The Project Manager oversees all contract operations, ensuring that tasks are delivered on time, within scope, and in compliance with GAO and NARA standards. This role manages the contractor team, interfaces directly with GAO leadership, develops and maintains the Project Management Plan, supervises staff, and ensures quality assurance across all deliverables while promptly addressing government requests. The Project Manager will be the central point of accountability for all activities, ensuring effective planning, execution, and reporting to achieve GAO’s mission. Requirements
Work Authorization: US Citizen Security Clearance: Security clearance is required for this role; candidates must meet eligibility criteria Work Mode: On-Site presence in Office Place of Performance: Washington, DC Responsibilities
Lead and oversee contract execution, deliverables, and staffing. Develop and manage the Project Management Plan. Maintain communication with COR/CO and manage reporting. Supervise contractor staff, ensure QA of deliverables. Provide monthly progress reports, respond promptly to issues. Experience Required
Minimum 5 years in program/project management supporting records or information management. Preferred Skills
Strong leadership, MS Office Suite/SharePoint, federal contracting experience, excellent communication. Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Business Administration, or related field. Relevant Certification (Preferred)
PMP certification (or equivalent). Seniority level
