$134,400.00/yr - $224,100.00/yr Qualifications

Three years’ minimum of relevant experience at a top-tier law firm, global financial or technology corporation, or government agency. A J.D. or LLM degree from a top-ranked U.S. law school or foreign equivalent, and admission and good standing with one or more US state bars. Substantive expertise in the management of federal and state civil litigation; conducting internal investigations; conducting or responding to regulatory inquiries by federal financial regulators; ability to develop subject matter expertise on a diverse range of legal issues confronting a multinational financial technology company; ability to advise on standards with respect to best practices in risk mitigation, tracking global legal developments, and implementing changes to address emerging risks; experience with cross-border and multijurisdictional issues; background on regulatory matters in the financial industry; strong written and verbal communication, professionalism, judgment, and integrity. Ability to work independently and in teams; thrive in a fast-paced business culture. Responsibilities

Collaborate with diverse global business units to define and drive cohesive global litigation strategy. Provide legal advice in connection with threatened or actual litigation or regulatory investigations. Draft and respond to demand letters; supervise outside counsel and expert witnesses. Draft pleadings or comment on pleadings prepared by outside counsel; manage discovery, document holds, production of documents, interrogatories, and witness preparation. Assist in outside counsel preparation for oral arguments; occasionally represent Nasdaq in proceedings. Prepare and present to regulators and policymakers. Conduct and/or support internal investigations and interviews of Nasdaq employees. Manage responses to regulatory inquiries, document requests, subpoenas; negotiate scope; review responsive documents and data. Prepare responses to non-party civil subpoenas; participate in mediations and settlement negotiations; draft settlement agreements and supervise implementation. Assist risk personnel with managing insurance claims related to litigation; conduct RFPs and review outside counsel invoices; brief directors and senior management on litigation and investigations; advise on developments in the law relevant to the business.
