Overview
Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital is seeking a pediatric cardiologist to develop its outpatient pediatric cardiology and fetal program. The candidate should be BE/BC in pediatric cardiology and able to collaborate with a team of cardiac specialists within the division as well as other in-house and community-based providers. This position is primarily focused on outpatient care including consultation, diagnostics, and longitudinal management of children with congenital and acquired heart disease. In addition, this position includes general inpatient cardiology service coverage. There are opportunities to work with other cardiology subspecialties (including EP, interventional, advanced heart failure/transplant, adult congenital, and advanced imaging) and to develop collaborative relationships with referring community providers and general pediatricians. Responsibilities
Participate in the evaluation and longitudinal follow-up of patients in various subspecialty clinics and contribute to program development to expand access and care for children regionally. Provide outpatient consultation, diagnostics, and longitudinal management for children with congenital and acquired heart disease. Provide general inpatient cardiology service coverage as part of a multidisciplinary team. Collaborate with cardiology subspecialties and community-based providers to enhance patient care. Engage in opportunities for academic activities depending on interest. Qualifications
Be/Become Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatric Cardiology (BE/BC). Ability to collaborate with a team of cardiac specialists and other in-house and community-based providers.
