The Department of Pediatrics at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS) is seeking an outstanding leader to serve as Division Chief of Pulmonary Medicine. The Division Chief will be board certified in Pediatric Pulmonology Medicine and will have a strong academic and clinical background with responsibility for scholarly, clinical, educational, and administrative activities of the Division. The role includes scholarly clinical and educational activities and provides opportunities to participate in clinical or lab-based research. The clinical services of the division are conducted at Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital (BMSCH) of RWJ University Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ. The Division Chief will oversee Pediatric Pulmonology at BMSCH and contribute to the academic mission of Rutgers RWJMS, including education for medical students, residents, and fellows.

Responsibilities

Provide overall supervision of the Division’s faculty activities, including teaching, clinical care, research, and other Division/Department duties. Lead scholarly clinical and educational activities; participate in clinical or laboratory-based research as appropriate. Collaborate with existing faculty (3 full-time faculty members) and support the Division’s clinical and educational missions. Oversee division-wide administrative operations, including program development and strategic planning. Ensure high-quality patient care and compliance with institutional policies and standards across outpatient and inpatient services. Represent the Division in campus-wide and interdepartmental initiatives and collaborations. Qualifications

MD/DO; Board certified in Pediatric Pulmonology Medicine. Strong academic and clinical background with a track record in investigative work, clinical care, and education. Experience in leadership or administrative roles within a medical division is preferred. Posting and Department Details
