Job Summary:

The Painter responsibilities include patching, applying paint, varnishes, and other coatings to a variety of materials such as walls, buildings, and machinery. This position requires precision, an eye for detail, and practical expertise in paint application techniques. An important part of our mission is to enhance the functionality and appearance of our facilities and ensure longevity. Strictly follow all Piedmont Health Services and clinic policies and protocols, including infection control and universal precautions. This involves minimizing dust and debris to protect sensitive patient areas. Use specialized coatings such as low-VOC or zero-VOC paints to protect indoor air quality, and antimicrobial paints to inhibit the growth of bacteria, mold, and mildew. Coordinate painting schedules with the facilities team to minimize disruption to clinic operations and patient care. This may include working during off-peak hours, such as nights or weekends. Maintain, clean, and properly store all tools, brushes, and equipment. Ensure the workspace is clean and organized throughout and after each project. Perform minor drywall repairs, carpentry, and other general maintenance tasks as needed. Install wall protection, wall coverings, and ceiling tiles as required. Maintain detailed records of materials used, work orders, and areas serviced for accurate tracking and inventory. Adhere to all federal, state, and OSHA safety regulations. Qualifications:

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent; Successful completion of an apprenticeship, preferred;

Preferred:

At least 1 year of experience as a painter. Excellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply them; Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques; Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.); Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders etc.; Conscientious with great attention to detail. Valid certification to handle hazardous lead paints, preferred.

Immunizations:

Be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all immunizations up-to-date prior to beginning employment.

Pay Range:

$17.85/Hourly - $23.99/Hourly
