Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center
The Department of Surgery and the Division of Urology at Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) seeks to recruit a board certified/board eligible full-time urologic oncologist with expertise in open, robotic and minimally invasive urological surgery. Candidates must have strong capabilities in surgical care of patients with all types of urologic conditions as well as advanced laparoscopic and robotic skills for complex minimally invasive urologic surgery. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional teamwork, program development and mentorship abilities. This position will provide clinical care at BIDMC Boston and at hospitals affiliated with BIDMC. Responsibilities will also include teaching of medical students and urology residents as well as clinical and/or basic research.
Appointment as Instructor or Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School will be commensurate with experience, training and achievements in addition to teaching activities.
Requirements:
Board certified/eligible in urologic surgery
Successful completion of a certified residency and fellowship training program
Eligible for a full medical license to practice in Massachusetts
MA Control Substance registration and individual Federal DEA
In addition, the Department of Surgery will be engaged in the newly announced and exciting clinical collaboration between Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI), BIDMC, and Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians (HMFP) to establish New England’s only free-standing adult inpatient cancer hospital. The collaboration will bring together world-class clinicians to deliver transformational, precision medicine in an environment solely dedicated to defying cancer.
