Position Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Activities Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for working with seniors, particularly those with memory impairments, and will be dedicated to creating a stimulating and nurturing environment. Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive activities program tailored to the needs and preferences of residents in both Assisted Living and Memory Care. Plan and coordinate a variety of therapeutic and recreational activities to promote cognitive stimulation, physical well-being, and social engagement. Collaborate with the care team to understand the individual needs and abilities of each resident and adjust activities accordingly. Maintain accurate records of residents' participation in activities and regularly evaluate the effectiveness of the program. Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere that encourages resident involvement and a sense of community. Qualifications
Previous experience working in a senior living environment, specifically with residents in Memory Care. Knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer's disease, as well as an understanding of therapeutic approaches to support individuals with memory impairments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff. Creativity and enthusiasm for developing engaging and meaningful activities. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently. Education and Certification
High School Diploma or equivalent required Activity Director Certified preferred At Columbia Cottage we offer:
