Job Details

Case Types Include: General, orthopedics, trauma, plastics, vascular, neurosurgery, pediatrics Endoscopy, NORA, robotic surgery, gynecology, ENT ❌ No hearts, OB, or blocks Duties & Skills: Assess, prepare, and manage patients for anesthesia care during perioperative/procedural periods Develop and implement anesthetic plans Perform history and physicals Obtain informed consent Conduct pre-anesthetic and post-op assessments Anesthesia Techniques: General, regional, epidural, and spinal anesthesia IV regional block Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC) Invasive monitoring (CVP/CVC, pulmonary artery catheterization, intra-arterial lines) Airway management Coverage Type: No call, outpatient only EMR System: Cerner Patient Population: All ages preferred (excluding neonates preferred) Support Staff: Multiple MDs on site (large academic hospital) 2:1 or 3:1 CRNA-to-Anesthesiologist ratio Anesthesia techs assist with equipment turnover Schedule Options: 8-hour shifts: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM 10-hour shifts: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM Will consider 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM Note: 7:30 AM start on Thursdays Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days
