Job Title: Recruiting Manager / HR Assistant
Reports To: HR Manager / General Manager
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Sheraton Pittsburgh At Station Square.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and organized Hotel Recruiter to join our Human Resources team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for attracting, sourcing, screening, and hiring top talent across various hotel departments including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Maintenance, and Management. The Hotel Recruiter plays a key role in shaping the guest experience by hiring individuals who uphold our brand's standards and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with department heads to identify current and future hiring needs.
  • Write and post effective job ads on internal and external platforms (job boards, social media, career sites, etc.).
  • Source candidates through various channels, including databases, employee referrals, networking, and job fairs.
  • Screen resumes, conduct interviews (phone, virtual, or in-person), and coordinate hiring processes.
  • Follow Driftwood Stand Operating Procedure for Hiring and processing all new employees
  • Manage the applicant tracking system and maintain accurate candidate records.
  • Coordinate pre-employment checks including references, background screening, and onboarding documentation.
  • Assist with new hire orientation and onboarding procedures.
  • Build a strong employer brand by fostering positive relationships with candidates and promoting the hotel as an employer of choice.
  • Monitor recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-hire, offer acceptance rate) and provide regular reports to HR leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and hotel policies.
  • Organizing employee recognition gatherings semiannually.
  • Organizing Manager outings semiannually
  • Communications with all staff and management
Qualifications:
  • Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of recruitment experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Familiarity with hotel operations and departmental roles is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of Dayforce , Front of the House Back of the House, LinkedIn
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Additional Skills:
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities.
  • Experience working with international candidates.
  • Knowledge of local labor laws and regulations.
Working Conditions:
  • Typically office-based with occasional visits to hotel departments and external recruiting events.
  • May involve some weekend or evening work depending on hiring needs or job fairs.
