The Job The Accounting Director will oversee month-end close, general ledger (GL) reconciliations, ARCS (Account Reconciliation Module in Oracle), and cross-functional collaboration to support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement reporting. Responsibilities include overseeing all accounting activities and related audits, fixed assets, accounts payable processing including year-end 1099 reporting, commission payments, and integration of strategic expansion opportunities. The role also leads the implementation of new systems, tools, and processes, driving continuous improvement, standardization, and change management initiatives.
You Will Oversee the payment of broker commissions for SCAN and its subsidiaries
Review all general ledger reconciliations for this area and be responsible for ARCS in Oracle and variance explanations
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close and preparation of SCAN’s consolidated financial statements; oversee year-end audits for all legal entities
Coordinate with SCAN Group’s subsidiaries to prepare quarterly and annual consolidations and consolidated financial statements of all entities (BS, IS & CF); establish procedures in accordance with GAAP
Review capital projects and collaborate with Facilities to ensure proper accounting
Work with the Controller to oversee expansion and strategic growth opportunities
Lead and develop staff through clear expectations, training, coaching, and performance discussions
Partner with other functions to ensure financial discipline and with the Data Warehouse team for reporting via BI tools
Support audits and assist in budgeting and reforecasting; participate in cross-functional process improvements
Maintain professional knowledge through ongoing education and professional networks
Support a culture open to AI-driven improvements and innovations
Contribute to SCAN’s Vision and Goals; perform other duties as assigned
Your Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree required
GAAP and financial management experience
5–7 years of related experience
5 years of leadership experience
10+ years of progressive management experience in finance and accounting
Healthcare experience strongly preferred
Strong leadership and ability to develop a high-performing accounting team
Proficient in accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements
Ability to analyze complex financial data and improve processes and reporting
Knowledge of Oracle Fusion Cloud; experience with report writing a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to meet tight deadlines and work evenings, as needed
Willingness to work with Oracle Fusion Cloud and BI/reporting tools
