Overview

Arcosa Wind Towers is seeking an HR Generalist to join our Tulsa, OK plant. In this role, you will be involved in onboarding employees, administering HR policies and procedures, handling employee relations, and managing performance appraisal processes. The HR Generalist also participates in benefits administration, workforce planning, and employee engagement initiatives. You will help promote a positive workplace culture, ensure compliance with labor laws, and provide support to both employees and management in various HR-related matters. This role reports to the Plant HR Manager.

Location: Tulsa, OK

What You'll Do

  • Provide HR services and support to Arcosa managers, ensuring effective human resource management.
  • Conduct training sessions and investigate both informal and formal complaints, fostering a fair and inclusive workplace.
  • Maintain accurate employee records with robust data privacy and security processes.
  • Serve as the central point for first-tier HR inquiries, including benefits programs and policies; support performance management, employee grievance escalation, policy interpretation, event implementation, workforce balancing, and new employee orientation.
  • Respond to queries regarding policies, processes, and other HR-related matters, adhering to prescribed responses.
  • Implement and maintain departmental procedures, EEO/AA logs and reports, and personnel records to ensure compliance.
  • Enroll employees in programs and process new hire and benefit paperwork efficiently.
  • Provide general administrative support for daily departmental operations and training programs.
  • Lead new hire orientation and the record retention program, ensuring compliance with requirements.
  • Process and track information in support of policies and benefits (e.g., Leave of Absence, FMLA, Workers Compensation, and other leave issues).
  • Oversee maintenance of personnel files and records to meet retention requirements.
  • Spearhead employee retention initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Potentially participate in confidential investigations of complex employee relations issues.
  • Prepare and represent the organization at unemployment hearings when required.
  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned to support overall plant operations.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Marketing or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in an HR environment, with a solid understanding of human resource practices.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and ensure accuracy and completeness of records.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, PowerBI, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with UltiPro or similar HR management systems.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills, including proofreading and presentation abilities.
  • Full proficiency in English and Spanish.

Working Conditions

  • Full-time position.
  • Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas with three shifts and frequent weekend shifts.
  • May require work/maintenance coverage beyond normal hours, including weekends/holidays.
  • Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures and loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant.
