Job Summary: The HR Generalist will provide comprehensive HR support and guidance across assigned business units. This role will focus on aligning HR initiatives with business objectives, fostering a positive work environment, and driving employee engagement. The HR Generalist will leverage our HRIS, Paylocity, to manage and analyze employee data, streamline processes, and enhance the employee experience. This position will report directly to the Director of HR.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Support: Partner with business leaders to understand their needs and develop HR solutions that align with and support their business goals.
- Employee Relations: Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, conducting thorough investigations and ensuring fair and consistent application of policies.
- Talent Management: Support recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for new hires.
- HR Administration and Compliance: Utilize Paylocity to manage employee data, generate reports, and analyze HR metrics.
- Paylocity Expertise: Serve as the primary point of contact for Paylocity-related inquiries and issues.
- Training and Development: Facilitate training on HR related topics and Paylocity utilization.
- Vendor and Academic Relations: Manage external relationships with vendors and professional organizations.
- Corporate Communications and Events: Spearhead organizational events and contribute to corporate communications.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HR Generalist or similar role.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Proven experience in employee relations, talent management, and HR administration.
- General understanding of payroll.
- Proficiency in using HRIS systems, specifically Paylocity.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification is desired but not required.
