Hobby Lobby Stores Inc. is currently looking for a Painter to join our Manufacturing / Wood Shop Department. This department builds the fixtures and cabinets for all of the Hobby Lobby stores. On-site training is available.

Work schedule

Work schedule is Monday – Friday, hours are 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM.

Starting wage $19.25 an hour!

This full-time position is located at the company’s Manufacturing building in Oklahoma City.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate air assisted and airless paint machines, use HLVP spray guns
• Prep all bases and fixtures for paint by puttying and sanding
• Follow established procedures that guide and support a highly organized process
• Maintain a strong daily work pace in order to maximize team efforts
• Demonstrate a cooperative manner and the desire to promote good team interaction
• Display commitment to follow all company policies and procedures
• Consistently practice reliability and the willingness to assist others as needed

Requirements

• Willingness to be certified to wear a half-face respirator
• Ability to handle merchandise up to 10 feet long and 50 lbs
• Ability to walk and stand 8 hours per day
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment
• Possess good math skills and ability to read a tape measure
• Comfortable working with power tools
• Willingness to rotate job assignments
• Comfortable working with large machinery
• Good attendance is required
• Reliable transportation is required
• Good listening and communication skills
• Experience is a plus
