Based in Washington, D.C., the Staff Recruiting Assistant will support the staff recruiting efforts on a Firmwide basis and provide administrative support as needed.

This role reports to the Manager, Staff Recruiting.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure all open staff roles are posted internally, externally and on appropriate job boards (LinkedIn, legal organizations, college boards, etc.)
  • Enter new hires into the Firm’s onboarding platform and partner with various departments to ensure new hires are setup correctly
  • Coordinate with hiring managers and candidates to schedule interviews for open Global Services roles
  • Administer pre-employment testing through the Firm’s testing platform
  • Send offer packets and first day instructions to new hires
  • Complete reference checks and enter new hires into the Firm’s employment verification system
  • Verify, process and track recruiting invoices and expenses
  • Administration of the Employee Referral program
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Human Resources practices and a general understanding of recruiting practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to interface with all levels of staff and management
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize, analyze and resolve multiple tasks
  • Ability to handle confidential information

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 2+ years' experience in a recruiting department preferred
  • Experience with HRIS and ATS platforms preferred
  • Demonstrated high level of proficiency in Microsoft Suite required

Gibson Dunn will consider for employment qualified Applicants with Criminal Histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of local law.

The annual compensation range for this position is $62,000 – $68,000. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
