Terms of Employment

8 hours per day for 12 month (235 days) or as stated in Letter of Intent.

To provide students with a safe, attractive, clean, comfortable environment that is conducive to learning and development.

Performance Responsibilities

  • Performs assigned housekeeping, yard care, and light maintenance duties to keep facilities safe, neat, and clean at all times.
  • Raises the United States Flag at or before 8 a.m. each school day and lowers it at or after 3:30 p.m.
  • Maintains security of the facilities.
  • Communicates with school building administration.
  • Sweeps/vacuums classrooms/offices daily.
  • Move furniture or equipment, as directed by the principal.
  • Disinfects restrooms, commodes, sinks and floors daily.
  • Regulates heat, ventilations, air conditioning, and lighting to provide comfort while maintaining economical utility usage.
  • Washes all windows on inside and outside at least twice each week.
  • Performs yard keeping chores such as tree trimming, mowing the lawn, trimming shrubs, sidewalk edging, clearing the sidewalk, landscaping locations with mulch/wood chips.
  • Keeping the grounds clean from rubbish.
  • Assumes responsibility for opening and closing the building each school day and determining before leaving that all windows and doors are secure.
  • Remains on the school premises during school hours and after work hours when use of the building has been authorized and extended work hours approved.
  • Reports school property damages to the building administrators.
