This role is essential for the safe and efficient loading/unloading of trucks, moving lumber within the yard and production areas, and assisting with final product preparation. The forklift operator is a key part of maintaining product quality and supporting smooth production flow.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials from trucks safely and efficiently.
• Move lumber within the yard and production areas using a forklift.
• Assist with final product preparation and staging for production.
• Maintain product quality and support smooth production flow by following safety protocols.

Minimum Requirements

• Proven forklift experience is required (certification preferred).
• Experience handling long loads — 20 ft or longer — with forks.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Understand basic production/plant operations (Lam Plant experience is a plus).
• Safety-conscious and able to follow all company safety protocols.
• Willing to work overtime and off-shifts as needed.
• Dependable, alert, and able to follow directions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift certification(s).
• Previous experience in shipping and/or logistics.
• Experience in a lumber or heavy manufacturing environment.
