Position Title: DELTA CLUB COOK - UTAH JAZZ & UTAH MAMMOTH @ THE DELTA CENTER
Pay Range: $18.00 HOURLY
We are seeking skilled cooks to join our culinary team in the exclusive highest tiered premium club at the Delta Center, home of the Utah Jazz and Utah Mammoth.
The cook will be responsible for preparing high-quality, premium dishes that meet expectations of our distinguished guests. The ideal candidate possesses excellent culinary skills, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver exceptional service in a luxury environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of high-end dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts, according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Assist in menu execution, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation of all food items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Support the setup and breakdown of the club kitchen for events and service periods.
- Monitor food quality, freshness, and safety standards throughout service.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing offers.
- Manage inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying supervisors of low stock.
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and hygiene policies and procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service to our high-profile guests, ensuring their dining experience exceeds expectations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Prior experience working in a luxury or high-volume kitchen preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including lifting moderate weights.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, based around event schedule.
- Formal culinary training or equivalent experience preferred.
- Ability to follow recipes, safety protocols, and presentation standards meticulously.
- Ability to deliver excellent service in a confidential and professional manner.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food presentations.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
- Excellent attention to detail and consistency.
- Creativity and willingness to contribute to menu development.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must obtain a valid Utah Food Handlers Permit or Manager Food Safety Certificate.
