Purpose: Responsible for housekeeping of assigned wing rooms, common areas, and assisting with the needs of the residents.
Essential Functions- Job Duties:
- Acts in an ethical, respectful, responsive, reliable, authentic, innovative, and empathetic manner.
- Follow cleaning schedule established by the Maintenance Director.
- Clean assigned areas, furnishings, fixtures, movable and stationary furniture.
- Empty trash bins and clean bathroom showers, sinks, toilets.
- Vacuuming carpets in rooms, common areas, and hallways.
- Disinfect floors, walls, bathrooms, wash windows and furniture.
- Replenish bathroom supplies and paper supplies for residents and public bathrooms.
- Dusting and sanitizing surfaces such as baseboards, stairways, elevators, entrances and exits.
- Reporting supply and equipment needs to the Housekeeping Director.
- Reapplying resident’s sheets to bed
- Laundry for the bed sheets and resident’s clothes.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Secondary Functions- Job Duties:
- Attend and participate in staff meetings, projects, special events, committees, and mandatory training as appropriate.
- Completes competency evaluations for training as required by the state or as assigned by their immediate supervisor, HR Director, or Executive Director.
- Observations of residents and reports of changes in behavior to nursing leadership.
Maintains safety and health rules by participating in training along with implementing and following protocols related to OSHA & CDC regulations and Cardinal Senior Living standards as required.
- Promotes and encourages individualized resident independence while maintaining resident dignity, individuality, confidentiality and following infection control policies.
- Follow all applicable state regulations.
Education & Knowledge Requirements- Specific education, certification, and licensure:
- High school diploma or equivalent highly preferred
- Individuals in this position must have obtained age eighteen (18) prior to first day of employment or transfer into position
