Overview

Driver / operator of company vehicles. Provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver and pick up packages.
• Check shipments for conformance to service standards and handle customer service functions.

Minimum Education

• High school diploma/GED. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and to maneuver heavier packages with appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Neat appearance due to customer contact.
• Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam per FMCSA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Medical exam required.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs and respond to directions per FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law.
