R+L Carriers is hiring: Forklift Operator PT in Battle Creek

Overview

R+L Carriers has an immediate need for Forklift Operators at our Battle Creek, MI service center. As a Part-time Forklift Operator, you will be tasked with moving all different types of freight safely in and out of enclosed trailers up to 53’ long. You will be operating a forklift on a roofed but non-climate-controlled dock.

Starting pay is $22.24 per hour. This is a part-time, second shift position (Monday – Friday, 5:30 PM – 9:30 PM).

PTO is available after the first 90 calendar days of employment and the benefits package includes Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance, 401(k) with company matching, Paid Vacation & Holidays, and access to exclusive employee resorts.

Responsibilities

• Move freight safely in and out of enclosed trailers up to 53’ long.

• Read manifests and interact with computer displays as required.
• Maintain dependable attendance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to bend, lift and stoop without difficulty
• Ability to read manifests
• Ability to read/interact with a computer display
• Forklift experience
• Must be dependable and able to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

• Previous forklift experience in a fast-paced environment
• Some LTL experience
