Position: Warehouse Associate

Location: 12801 North Tatum Blvd, Phoenix, AZ

Position type: Full-time (40 hours/week), Non-Exempt

Compensation: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour (paid bi-weekly)

Hours: 9:30 am – 6:00 pm

What You Will Do

  • Create a best-in-class customer experience for every customer, every time.
  • Obtain and maintain comprehensive knowledge of products (dimensions, weight, assembly, construction materials) while storing, moving, and assembling merchandise.
  • Transport, locate, load and unload merchandise into customers’ cars, delivery trucks and within the warehouse in a safe and professional manner (may involve heavy or oddly shaped items).
  • Use computer terminal to look up customer and merchandise information.
  • Match product to invoice, packing slip or bill of lading accurately and ensure orders are paid in full.
  • Handle and assemble merchandise with care to prevent damage.
  • Assist with showroom changes, tagging merchandise, and maintaining displays and a clean showroom and backroom.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and maintenance within the working environment and with equipment and tools.
  • Follow all company safety and accident procedures on company premises or when operating company vehicles or equipment; observe safe lifting methods.
  • May travel to customer locations to perform delivery, assembly and/or repair on occasion.
  • Perform other duties as directed.

Who You Are And Must

  • Excellent customer service, teamwork and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and reliability.
  • Able to read and understand work orders, shipping and receiving paperwork.
  • Able to lift a minimum of 75 lbs. unassisted on a regular basis.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain forklift training and certification as necessary.
  • Experience operating equipment including pallet jacks, hand tools, 4-wheeler and hand truck, and other small power/tools as needed.
  • Basic math, computer and POS skills with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Have a valid state-issued driver’s license.
  • Be 18 years or older.
  • Submit to pre-employment drug screening, physical screening, background check, and be subject to random and post-accident drug screening.
  • Continuous standing, lifting, bending and twisting; comfortable at heights up to 25 feet.

Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent GED; 1-3 years of successful work experience, preferably in a warehouse environment.
