Accountant Job at Impact Beverage in Cincinnati

Overview of Position

Accountant will assist in delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting, specifically initially focused on Accounts Payable, and other projects as assigned. The role will positively impact the Company’s operations and directly contribute to the on-going success of the business. The position will work closely with the Senior Accountant and directly report to the Accounting Manager, from time to time spanning various departments across the organization.

Essential Job Functions

• Accounts Payable daily operations, including entering invoices, printing checks, reconcile AP sub-ledger to the general ledger.
• Verify and investigate discrepancies, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements.
• Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
• Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.
• Ensure accounting and process documentation is in compliance with legal agreements, product agreements, accounting policy, and US GAAP standards.
• Assist in external and internal audit processes.
• Ability to communicate effectively and concisely.
• Special projects as needed.
• Monthly Bank Reconciliations.

Job Requirements

Knowledge and Experience

• BS/BA in Accounting or Finance degree recommended but not required.
• Experience in Accounts Payable.
• Solid organizational and project management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office highlighted in Microsoft Excel.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work independently will be essential attributes of the selected candidate.

Additional Information

We use Orchestra Software as our Enterprise Resource Planning system created for breweries and the craft beverage industry, built on the SAP platform.
