Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our Florida manufacturing plant's management team. As the HR Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving and overseeing all human resources activities to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the plant. This role requires effective communication with a diverse workforce. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing HR strategies, fostering a positive work environment, managing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the plant's overall objectives and company values.
- Collaborate with senior management to identify HR needs and proactively propose solutions.
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selecting candidates for various roles.
- Coordinate new employee onboarding, ensuring a smooth assimilation into the plant's culture and work environment.
- Act as a mediator to resolve employee conflicts and grievances in a fair and impartial manner.
- Implement initiatives to foster employee engagement, recognition, and retention.
- Identify training needs and coordinate training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the workforce.
- Implement career development plans to support employee growth and succession planning.
- Oversee the performance management process, including goal-setting, evaluations, and feedback.
- Collaborate with department managers to address performance-related issues and implement improvement plans.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate employee records and documentation in accordance with legal requirements.
- Collaborate with the Safety Director and Facility Safety Committee to promote a safe work environment and adherence to safety protocols.
- Assist in handling worker's compensation claims and return-to-work programs.
- Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
- Communicate benefit information to employees and address inquiries as needed.
- Generate HR reports and metrics to provide insights on workforce trends, turnover rates, and other key performance indicators.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced HR certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience (3-5 years) as an Sr. HR Generalist or HR Manager. Manufacturing setting a plus.
- PHR Certification
- Thorough knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Experience in talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement, and training.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS and other HR-related software.
