Responsibilities

  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Develop job descriptions, navigate the applicant tracking system to post position and screen resumes, conduct interviews and manage the onboarding process for new hires.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as the point of contact for employees; address concerns / complaints, conduct investigations, resolve workplace issues, ensure compliance with labor laws, and foster a positive work environment.
  • Performance Management: Facilitate performance reviews, assist in employee development programs, and support management in performance-related issues.
  • Benefits Administration: Serve as the point of contact for employees; address inquiries regarding health insurance, retirement plans, leave of absence management, and assist with annual health benefits renewal and enrollment process.
  • Compliance and Policy Management: Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, and assist in the development, implementation, and interpretation/guidance of HR policies and procedures. Stay informed about HR trends, best practices, and regulatory changes.
  • HRIS Project Assistanc e: Actively participate in the planning, development, and implementation of the HR Information System (HRIS) project as defined. Collaborate with the HR team, IT department, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth and efficient rollout.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Generate reports and analyze employee data related to HR metrics to support decision-making and strategy development.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to support HR-related initiatives and improve HR processes and employee experience. Foster collaboration with Louisiana teams and actively engage in HR staff meetings.
  • Participate in weekly Operations staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars to help inform and drive HR strategy.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related fields.

Preferred:

  • Five to seven years of experience in HR-related field.

  • Occasionally required push, pull, bend, climb, standing and walking on cement foundations.
  • Occasionally required to stoop and kneel.

  • Use of PPE required in specific areas.
  • Chemical Manufacturing site, in the presence of chemicals
  • Works in a professional office and manufacturing environment
