Job Summary This position is dedicated to a Dispatcher showcasing exemplary skills and is designed to prepare you for greater responsibilities. You will play a crucial role in meeting productivity and operational goals, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. Essential Functions Act as a Lead Dispatcher, guiding and answering questions for team members during shifts. Address customer concerns and provide resolutions; engage management for issues beyond your scope. Fill in for dispatchers as needed to maintain operational continuity. Ensure all necessary forms for daily operations are completed accurately and thoroughly. Train new hires and provide ongoing training for current staff as required. Monitor productivity goals and notify management if they are not being met. Additional Responsibilities Perform other related duties as assigned. Skills and Abilities Strong oral and written communication skills with excellent follow-up practices. Proficient in building and maintaining professional relationships across all organizational levels. Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Self-motivated and adaptable in a fast-paced work setting. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask. Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to thorough follow-up. Preferred knowledge in transportation (shipping, receiving, inventory management, distribution, or dispatch). Advanced familiarity with warehouse and dispatch software applications is preferred. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office is desired. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Minimum of two years of experience in Logistics or Transportation, including knowledge of DOT regulations. Advanced knowledge in the transportation environment is preferred. Experience with dispatch software or inventory management systems is a plus.
