Senior Accountant ($70-85k), Jacksonville, FL

Immediate need for a Senior Accountant with a well-established CPA firm since 1980.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing activities in accordance with GAAP
• Plan and execute internal/external audit assignments
• Prepare clear and concise audit work papers, findings, and recommendations
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Prepare and file accurate and timely federal, state, and local tax returns (corporate, partnership, sales/use, property, etc.)
• Process biweekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payroll for hourly, salaried, and contract employees

Qualifications

• 4+ years of public accounting experience in the U.S. required
• Experience in audits for churches, schools, non-profits, healthcare agencies, construction, and commercial entities
• Expertise in auditing, payroll, AR/AP
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related majors
• CPA preferred but not required
• Experience in preparation of Personal and Corporate Tax Returns (e.g., 1120C, 1120S, 1040, 1065, 990s)
• Strong technical skills (Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, Drake and Caseware software)
