Solution Architect at Baltimore, MD or Chicago, IL (Hybrid)
Job type: Contract · Hybrid (4 days onsite and 1 day remote) · Location: Baltimore, MD or Chicago, IL
Requirements and responsibilities for this role focus on bridging business needs with technical execution in automation and low-code platforms.
Responsibilities
Take business requirements and translate them into scalable, secure technical designs.
Evaluate and select among automation tools (UiPath vs. Power Platform) based on process complexity, integration needs, and scalability.
Guide developers in implementing solutions and ensure adherence to technical best practices.
Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to ensure the solution meets business objectives.
Design end-to-end technical architectures for automation and low-code solutions using UiPath (Studio, Orchestrator, Robots, AI Center) and Power Platform (Power Automate, PowerApps, Dataverse, Copilot Studio).
Define integration strategies with enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, databases, APIs) and ensure solutions are secure and scalable.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in solution architecture or technical design roles.
Hands-on experience with UiPath (Orchestrator, Studio, AI Center) and Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, PowerApps, Dataverse, Copilot Studio).
Strong understanding of REST APIs, cloud architecture (Azure preferred), and enterprise integration patterns.
Experience with HPE Operations Orchestration (HPOO) is a plus.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
UiPath and Power Platform certifications.
Experience with Azure Logic Apps, Power BI, or other Microsoft ecosystem tools.
Familiarity with ITSM tools and automation in IT operations.
Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
