Senior Software Engineer (Onsite) at Collins Aerospace. Solipsys, managed by Collins Aerospace, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer who is enthusiastic, hardworking, and proactive in writing and developing code using programming languages and related technologies such as Java, C++, Angular, GraphQL, REST, Kafka, and TypeScript (among many others). The successful candidate will work in an exciting environment, directly contributing to the development of new software capabilities and products. What You Will Do
Design, architect and code critical capabilities in an active Agile environment. Develop innovative new features for a real-time situational awareness Command & Control (C2) system. Work in a highly collaborative team environment to design, architect and innovate software solutions. Qualifications You Must Have
Relevant work experience in software development using object-oriented programming languages such as Java or C++. Strong computer science fundamentals such as data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, information retrieval; experience with full software lifecycle including requirements, design, development, debug and test. Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with minimum 3 years of experience. The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Qualifications We Prefer
Direct hands-on experience with GraphQL, REST, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, Angular, TypeScript, HTML/CSS, and other related technologies. Experience in object-oriented paradigms and multithreaded systems. Ability to engage and build positive relationships with customers and internal/external teams. Strong oral and written communication skills and proven leadership abilities. Willingness to travel to customer sites for demos, integration and support. Ability to adapt to change, handle tasks productively, and achieve results in a matrix environment. Experience with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
