Install and configure Microsoft SQL Server instances including on-premises, cloud, or hybrid. Plan and implement SQL Server upgrades, patches, and service packs. Set up SQL Server in clustered and high-availability environments such as Always On, Failover Clustering, Log Shipping, or Mirroring. Monitor SQL Server performance such as CPU, memory, and I/O. Perform vulnerability scans and remediate database-related security issues. Design and manage backup strategies such as full, differential, transaction log. Implement and test disaster recovery plans. Set up and maintain SQL Server monitoring and alerting systems such as SCOM, SolarWinds, and custom scripts. Schedule and automate maintenance tasks such as indexing, DBCC checks, and stats updates. You Have
5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining a Windows Server environment, including servers hosting Microsoft SQL Server 2017, 2019, or 2022 in instances and clusters 5+ years of experience managing enterprise reporting platforms such as SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power BI Report Server, including report deployment, security administration, performance tuning, and service configuration Experience leveraging PowerShell and scripting languages to automate server builds, SQL installations, security patching, configuration management, and daily operational tasks to improve efficiency and system reliability Experience configuring and troubleshooting SQL Server Always On Availability Groups, clustering, backups, and disaster recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and meet RTO/RPO objectives for critical business systems Ability to obtain a Secret clearance HS diploma or GED Ability to obtain a DoD 8570.11- IAT Level II Certification, such as Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, or SSCP Certification, within 30 days of hire date Nice If You Have
