Overview
Senior Director, Business Development, Navy/USMC. Lead our Navy/Marine Corps growth team and strategy, pursuing new initiatives and driving organic growth through existing contracts and vehicles. The ideal candidate has a proven record of closing large Navy/Marine Corps opportunities and can collaborate across GDIT Defense Division to support mission-critical initiatives and growth. Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and support the Navy/Marine Corps account growth strategy and identify new business opportunities that support the account plan, group growth goals, and submit targets throughout the opportunity life cycle. Collaborate with GDIT senior growth and delivery executives to develop, execute, and refine the Navy/Marine Corps growth strategy in alignment with GDIT's strategic plans. Develop and maintain high-quality relationships with customers and partners, including next generation technology vendors. Engage with customers, partners, and stakeholders to identify and qualify new business opportunities. Shape opportunities and our position throughout the opportunity life cycle. Drive growth by leading the development of win strategies, resulting in overall portfolio growth. Build and manage a team of 8-10, geographically dispersed, high-performing Business Development executives and Capture Managers to develop and prosecute an opportunity pipeline. Formulate and support the communication and implementation of an integrated business development, capture, and proposal strategy that highlights GDIT's value proposition and discriminators, and provides customers a clear justification for selecting GDIT for award. Establish value-added teaming strategies and competitive pricing structures to achieve profitable wins. Execute call plans to gather information about opportunities with technical staff, propose and test potential solutions, and qualify opportunities. Prepare for and present opportunities for bid decisions and pipeline reviews. What You’ll Need To Succeed
Education: Bachelor's degree Experience: 15+ years in a BD/Capture role and 5+ years leading a growth organization Growth: Track record of successful wins and pipeline development; understanding of capture and customer engagement Technical Skills: Knowledge of Enterprise IT including PEO Digital, PEO MLB, NIWC PAC, etc. Leadership: Experience leading a Business Development and Capture team Security clearance: Secret clearance required to start, with ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret US citizenship required Location: Hybrid to Falls Church, VA Benefits and Additional Information
Salary range: The likely salary range for this position is $238,000 - $322,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation; salary is based on experience, location, and contractual requirements.
