Overview
The Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing is recognized as one of the nation’s premier nursing schools, offering an extraordinary environment for faculty to teach, practice, and conduct research at the highest levels. Reporting to the Dean, the Associate Dean for Education (ADE) provides strategic and operational leadership for all academic programs within the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing, including pre-licensure, post-licensure, graduate, and certificate programs. These programs include the BSN, MN, MSN, DNP, PhD, and MS in Cardiovascular Perfusion Science, as well as the development of new programs, including the MS in Nutrition, MS in Healthcare Analytics, and BS in Health Systems Leadership. Faculty at Emory benefit from robust clinical and academic partnerships. With 1,500 students and access to more than 900 clinical sites, including Emory Healthcare—Georgia’s most comprehensive academic health system—our faculty can directly integrate clinical expertise, teaching, and research. Through centers such as the Lillian Carter Center for Global Health & Social Responsibility, faculty also engage in impactful global service-learning and research. Our faculty includes over 50 fellows in the American Academy of Nursing. Atlanta, an international hub for health care, research, and innovation, offers rich opportunities for collaboration with the CDC, the Carter Center, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and other leading institutions. This vibrant, diverse city provides an ideal backdrop for advancing academic and clinical excellence. Responsibilities
