The Role We are seeking a skilled and motivated
Senior DevOps Engineer
to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and a strong background in DevOps practices. You will design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure as code deployments, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability of cloud-based applications. You will collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to automate workflows and improve system performance. This role supports, maintains, and develops software using AWS stacks and CICD tools. You will lead the evolution of our CICD pipeline, branching and release strategies, and support automated testing. A strong AWS background, particularly around scaled Lambda-based, data-centric infrastructures, is desired.
What You'll Be Doing
Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and reliable AWS infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
Cloud Operations: Monitor and manage EC2, RDS, ECS; implement auto-scaling and optimize resources for performance and cost
Release Management: Deploy, automate, and maintain releases using the release/change management process
Production Systems: Build, release, and troubleshoot production systems; manage Jenkins administration, deployment, automation, and maintenance
Collaboration: Work with onshore, offshore, and nearshore dev and QA teams
Automation and Scripting: Create and manage automation scripts using Python, Bash, or similar languages; implement automated monitoring and alerting
Security and Compliance: Enforce security best practices (IAM, security groups, VPC, encryption); participate in security assessments and audits
Monitoring and Optimization: Set up monitoring (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Datadog); optimize performance and ensure high availability
Documentation and Training: Document infrastructure and processes; mentor junior team members
Collaboration and Support: Provide guidance on cloud architecture and DevOps practices; be available for on-call production support
Who You Are and What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
7+ years of experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering
5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., API Gateway, Lambda, EC2, S3, ECS, RDS, DynamoDB, OpenSearch, VPC, CloudFormation, IAM)
Proven experience with automation tools and IaC (Terraform, AWS CDK, AWS SAM)
3+ years of expertise in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or equivalent)
Proficiency with Git and containerization (Docker, ECR, ECS); scripting in Python, Bash, or JavaScript
Experience with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and monitoring/logging (CloudWatch, ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana)
Knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, VPN, load balancing) in cloud environments
AWS certifications are highly desirable (DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect) or equivalent
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills

Compensation and Perks The posted range represents the expected salary and does not include other compensation components. Final pay will consider experience, job level, location, and other relevant criteria. Salary range:
$150,000-$175,000/year .
