We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with over 5 years of experience to join a dynamic robotics hardware development team. The role focuses on high-speed digital design, System on Chip (SoC) integration, and imaging/sensor electronics. Candidates must be proficient in PCB design, including schematic capture and layout, and experienced with Cadence Allegro/OrCAD. Comfort working in a hands-on lab environment is essential.
Responsibilities
The position involves working in a collaborative, cross-functional engineering environment. The role requires hands-on lab work and offers opportunities to engage with domestic and international contract manufacturers. The fast-paced setting demands a proactive approach and a commitment to engineering excellence.
Design and maintain high-speed digital circuits such as SoCs, SOMs, DDR/LPDDR, PCIe, Ethernet, and MIPI.
Perform schematic capture, PCB layout, and end-of-life component replacements.
Integrate sensor electronics including cameras, Time of Flight (ToF), LiDAR, radar, and infrared sensors.
Conduct signal integrity simulations, lab testing, troubleshooting, and compliance validation.
Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, optical, and compliance teams across the full product lifecycle.
Work with domestic and international contract manufacturers to resolve design and production issues.
Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Excellence (DFX) practices early in development.
Create and maintain technical documentation such as specifications, test plans, Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and compliance reports.
Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of engineering excellence.
Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and a bias for action in a fast-paced environment.
