Overview
Team Lead at Global Connect Technologies We are seeking an experienced
Electrical Engineer
(5+ years) to join Amazon’s dynamic
robotics hardware development team . This role focuses on
high-speed digital design ,
System on Chip (SoC) integration , and
sensor/imaging electronics . The ideal candidate will have strong PCB design skills using
Cadence Allegro/OrCAD
and thrive in a
hands-on lab environment .
Responsibilities
Design and maintain high-speed digital circuits (SoCs, SOMs, DDR/LPDDR, PCIe, Ethernet, MIPI).
Perform schematic capture, PCB layout, and component lifecycle management.
Integrate advanced sensor electronics: cameras, Time of Flight (ToF), LiDAR, radar, and infrared.
Conduct signal integrity simulations, lab testing, troubleshooting, and compliance validation.
Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, optical, and compliance teams across the product lifecycle.
Work with domestic and international contract manufacturers to resolve design and production challenges.
Apply DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFX (Design for Excellence) best practices early in development.
Create and maintain technical documentation (specifications, test plans, ECOs, compliance reports).
Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of engineering excellence.
Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and a proactive approach in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
5+ years of professional electrical design experience.
Expertise in Cadence Allegro/OrCAD (schematic capture and PCB layout).
Proven track record in high-speed digital board design (DDR, PCIe, Ethernet, MIPI).
Hands-on experience with sensor integration (cameras, ToF, LiDAR, radar, IR).
Strong lab skills in debugging, testing, and compliance validation.
Ability to thrive in cross-functional, fast-paced environments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Knowledge of regulatory compliance processes for electronic hardware.
Experience with sustaining engineering and component lifecycle management.
Familiarity working with domestic and international contract manufacturers.
Strong leadership, communication, and documentation abilities.
Ability to handle ambiguous requirements and deliver results in agile environments.
