An established building systems engineering group is hiring Fire Protection Engineers (mid- and senior-level) to take the lead on fire and life safety design. From labs and cleanrooms to corporate campuses and institutional buildings, you’ll work across a wide mix of project types with a collaborative team that integrates fire protection alongside mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Create fire protection layouts, specifications, and construction documents Conduct hazard analyses and code compliance reviews Manage project scopes, schedules, and quality standards Coordinate with other disciplines to deliver integrated solutions Mentor junior engineers and support internal knowledge-sharing Qualifications
5+ years of consulting experience in fire protection engineering Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field PE license preferred (required at senior level) Knowledge of NFPA codes, fire alarm, suppression, and sprinkler systems Strong communication skills for cross-discipline and client interaction Important: This is a fully on-site role based in San Jose, CA. Candidates must already reside in or be relocating to the Bay Area. Local travel to project sites may be required.
