Brief Summary Of Job Duties This position will create design work, and other digital elements as assigned for UCSB Athletics Department. Qualifications Ability to accurately research, organize and interpret information; assist in the coordination/preparation of strategic communications plans. Strong knowledge and proficient use of various social media channels including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, LinkedIn, Pinterest and YouTube Ability to exhibit sound judgement as it relates to all forms of communication. Knowledge of digital communication media, including relevant software, equipment and/or content management systems. Familiarity with Macintosh and Windows operating systems and relevant applications, including MS Office, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc. Excellent verbal, interpersonal, group/team and public communication skills. Excellent written communication skills with proven ability to write effectively under deadline for a variety of purposes, goals, audiences and media. Required Qualifications AA/BA degree in communication, public relations, marketing, graphic design, journalism or related field and two years of relevant marketing/communications experience with social media programs, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience 1-3 years Experience creating social media content across channels for an organization, company or institution 1-3 years Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Hoot Suite, content marketing and blogging Equal Employment Opportunity The University of California is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
