We’re seeking a
Director of Communications
to lead all public-facing narratives, media relations, digital presence, and brand strategy. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for a strategic storyteller and seasoned PR professional who understands what it takes to launch and sustain buzz in New York's competitive hospitality scene — and who can move seamlessly between strategy, execution, and media-facing moments. What You'll Do Strategic Communications & Brand Planning Craft and execute a communications roadmap that reflects the brand’s identity and supports long-term growth and guest engagement. Work directly with senior leadership to ensure alignment and clarity across all messaging platforms. Continuously scan the competitive landscape to uncover unique storytelling opportunities and market positioning strategies. Media & Public Relations Cultivate strong, lasting relationships with top-tier media, influencers, and cultural tastemakers. Drive meaningful coverage through thoughtful pitching, editorial coordination, and curated event outreach. Serve as the go-to liaison for all press interactions, interviews, and public-facing appearances. Content & Storytelling Develop compelling narratives across digital and print platforms — from newsletters to social to in-venue materials. Partner with creative teams to produce high-quality, brand-forward photography, video, and visual assets. Own and manage a content calendar that balances strategic priorities with real-time moments and cultural relevance. Internal Communications & Team Integration Keep internal teams informed and inspired through clear communication on company updates, milestones, and initiatives. Collaborate closely with key leadership — including the Executive Chef, Bar Director, and GM — to amplify their voices and achievements. Manage the scheduling and coordination of media-facing moments for leadership and talent, ensuring maximum visibility and impact. Digital, Social & Online Brand Experience Lead the brand’s voice and storytelling across all social platforms, ensuring consistency, authenticity, and audience growth. Oversee the execution of digital marketing campaigns in partnership with external collaborators. Ensure all online touchpoints — including websites and e-commerce — are current, engaging, and aligned with broader brand narratives. Support the launch and ongoing promotion of retail products and digital campaigns with targeted storytelling and outreach. Work in step with sales and operations teams to ensure messaging is cohesive and performance-driven across channels. Who You Are Must-Have Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field. 5+ years in a communications, PR, or marketing leadership role, preferably in hospitality, F&B, or lifestyle sectors. Strong track record of media placements and industry relationships in food, culture, or design verticals. Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills. Experience managing content calendars and creating digital campaigns across platforms. Organizational prowess — you can juggle multiple schedules and priorities effortlessly. A deep understanding of digital culture, hospitality trends, and what drives consumer buzz. A polished communicator with a collaborative spirit and ability to work across departments. Bonus Skills Experience in fine dining, bar culture, or luxury/lifestyle hospitality. Familiarity with e-commerce, online retail, or DTC marketing campaigns. Visual storytelling experience (photography, video, content production). An eye for detail, design, and creative presentation.
